The Library provides a multitude of free activities for children and families.

We have a new play area, special Tree Room, weekly storytimes, special programs, and more!

Teaching Books

The Missouri State Library makes databases available to the public through the library.  They contain resources to engage readers from over 367,000 books including Meet-the-Author movies, audiobook readings, book discussion guides, vocabulary lists and more.

Teaching Books is great for school libraries, classrooms, and homeschool families.

Safe & Interactive Computing

We have four tablets and two computers at our technology center loaded with apps to encourage reading, math, and
communication skills.

These devices are completely self-contained (they have no access to the internet) and are excellent ways for kids to learn and have fun doing it!

Sensory-Friendly Activities

Sensory toys engage a child’s cognitive and physical attention by stimulating sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. They also stimulate the tactile system through various textures or weights. These toys are beneficial to fine motor control and brain development, not to mention are tons of fun!
